Alyson Stoner, what have you done? A star in serious need of a good nerd.

 

IT BURNS! Alyson Stoner’s website is a site

to make sore eyes. Using a remotely hosted blogging platform (who uses Blogger on their site anyway?) and too much Flash (not even a Low-Fi version available) and little to no scripting, it makes a mockery of a website….but, I don’t blame her.

I blame the de-de-de behind the website. The coder (or company that made a WYSIWYG editor used for it) is terrible. Get her a WordPress or b2evolution installation NOW! Bloody heck, there’s not even an RSS feed or favicon!

I’d love to rip apart this site, give it a nice redesign, better scripting, a better blog platform…basically keep nothing but the pics, maybe the layout. I’d throw out all Flash. There’s nothing done there in Flash that can’t be done with DHTML and a little AJAX. (Using Flash for rollovers? Whose idea was that?) And I’d give a freaking splash page with a bandwidth select (maybe even a cookie to keep the setting) and of course (hand in hand with splash page) a LOW-FI version…Gosh, can’t imagine her bandwidth costs.

I’m nerdy for my age, yes. I’m also a big Alyson Stoner fan. I can’t stand this site. It makes me sad inside.

Please Alyson, I beg of you! Let me redo your site at no cost. It’s a community service!

Although, if ya liked it, a little money wouldn’t hurt, I do need a domain for my site.
